Oracle8i Internal Services 1人読書会 はじめることにした

当面、Oracle と TOEIC の勉強をしようと思ってたんだけど、通勤電車で TOEIC の勉強をすると、Oracle の勉強時間がとれない。
そこで、英語で Oracle の勉強をすることにした。

具体的には、
Oracle 8i Internal Services: for Waits, Latches, Locks, and Memory
を通勤時間で読んでまとめをブログに書くことにした。
あと、oracle-l メーリングリスト(oracle-l Mailing List Archive)に投稿してみたりする予定。
リスニングの勉強をどうするかは考えなきゃいけないけど、とりあえず洋楽聴きながらこのブログ書くことにしたw

この本は以前に id:wmo9hash さんに「Oracleのアーキテクチャを勉強したいんですけど、いい本ないですか？」って聞いて、教えていただいた本。

懇親会では Linux について Miracle Linux の中の人に直接質問させていただいたりもしました。

想定外の収穫は id:wmo6hash さんにお会いできたこと。もしやと思って、名刺交換させていただいたら（自分のは切れていたw）、やっぱり id:wmo6hash さんだった。いろいろ面白いお話を聞いたり、質問させていただいたりした。ありがとうございました。

この本が結構いいらしい。買いたい本がたまってきた。。。 Debug Hacks Night に行って来た - ablog

この本には Oracle の高度なパフォーマンス・チューニングに必要な Oracle の内部構造について書かれているとのこと。
